  SIGMA TAU DELTA 2018 INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION THEME: SEEKING FREEDOM MARCH 21 – 24, 2018 CINCINNATI, OH Three members and one alumna won paper awards: Rachel Lyn Atkins, Jenna Burke, Kelly Noll, and Maria Printon. Congratulations! We also have other big news. Prof. Diane Steinberg was elected Vice-President/President-Elect and Dr. Felicia Steele was elected eastern regent. In addition, Dr. Felicia Steele is going to be the chair of next year’s convention in St. Louis. That means that TCNJ will be one of the “host chapters” for next year’s convention. Thank you to all who attended and made it an incredibly successful convention!

  Hey all! It’s that wonderful time of year again: inductions! Come join us to honor the new members of Sigma Tau Delta! Inductions are to be held on Saturday, Oct. 21st in the Education building 212 The ceremony starts at 11 am and will last about an hour, but feel free to come early for a light breakfast served at 10:15 am. Also, because inductions of new members will be held on 21 Oct 2017, we are not accepting new applications for full membership until 22 Jan 2018, when the spring semester opens. We are always open to students who want to be social members — please go to Lion’s Gate, type in “Sigma Tau Delta” and ask to join us there. Thank you and see you soon!

  Hello Sigma Tau Deltans (and those soon-to-be!) and welcome to the Fall 2017 semester. Our meetings are every other Tuesday at 8:30pm in Bliss 235. Our next meeting is September 19th (then Oct 3rd, Oct 17th, Oct 31, Nov 14th, etc). This year’s e-board is as follows: Kristen Capano, president. Cynthia Raices and James McAteer, co-vice presidents. Kelly Vena, treasurer. Jackie Delaney, secretary. Elysia Jones, publicist. Upcoming events: come to our Flapjack Fundraiser on Sunday, September 24th! Join us for $7 pancakes!   On Sunday, 10/23/2016, our chapter inducted 43 new national members into Sigma Tau Delta in a lovely ceremony in the Decker Social Space. With inspiring words from Professor Steele and Professor Steinberg, and astute descriptions of Sigma Tau Delta’s objectives from the e-board, the new cohort, supported by family, friends, and current Sigma TD members, entered our organization with good words and good food. Professor Carney challenged the new cohort to always use their words accurately, and seek the truth: Congrats again to the 2016 inductees! So proud of their accomplishments, and to how they’ll contribute to English!
